Twice as many folks were concerned about health impact of food in 2003 as in 2000, and health food stores as well as mainstream supermarkets appeal to them. French are becoming increasingly interested in choosing healthy food diets, according to an extensive study by Health-Focus International. In 2000 two-thirds of consumers didn't care about whether or not what they ate was healthy. Three years later, only one-third was still unconcerned, whereas two-thirds were conscious of the impact of their food choices on their health. The trend continues today.
