Domtar moving Marlboro into specialty, packaging; slices out 270,000 tons/yr

For supplying base paper to Appleton Papers' thermal coater, Domtar is spending $32 million realigning the copy and converting paper uncoated freesheet (UFS) machine at the Marlboro mill in Ben-nettsville, SC, to specialty and packaging uncoated papers, pres/CEO John Williams told analysts near the end of last month.
