IP sets major maintenance outages at four US mills; KapStone plans upgrade

International Paper (IP) scheduled major maintenance outages at four of it US con-tainerboard, bleached board, and uncoated freesheet (UFS) paper mills in the fourth quarter, starting in October, the company told a local newspaper. Maintenance outages are set for the Pine Hill, AL (562,000 tons/yr linerboard and 314,000 tons/yr of corrugating medium), Pensacola, FL (542,000 tons/yr lightweight linerboard), Eastover , SC (714,000 tons/yr UFS) and Augusta, GA (720,000 tons/yr bleached board) mills.
