Domtar comes out first with new $60/ton price increase for uncoated freesheet cutsize office papers in the USA

Domtar today informed customers that it will raise prices on all its white business papers by $3/cwt or $60/ton effective June 1 - the first increase on uncoated cutsize papers in about a year in North America. The increase applies to all of Domtar's uncoated freesheet (UFS) office and copy paper products from 92 through 98 brightness. Other producers could not be confirmed with in-creases today but were said to be contemplating higher prices. Domtar is North America's largest UFS paper producer, based on capacity, with about a 32% share.
