Domtar pushes new hike on premium papers as May increase rolls on

As it reported another strong quarterly financial performance, Domtar this week set a $2/cwt ($40/ton) price increase on certain grades of uncoated freesheet (UFS) paper effective immediately for deliveries after Aug. 15. The hike applies to certain Husky and Lynx brands of opaque and recycled offset, folio carton, folio skid, cutsize carton, reply card, and parent sheet sizes, but not on commodity cutsize products, offset rolls, converting grades or Domtar's premium Couaar brand, contacts said.
