Worldwide chemical market pulp producer inventories declined to 30 days of supply during April,the first drop in overall stocks since a three-day rise in January as tightening hardwood inventories brought overall stocks down,the Pulp and Paper Products Council reported.Citing an ongoing shortage of birch in Europe,several major producers planned to raise hardwood kraft prices 20/tonne in the US,Europe,and Asia,in what could spur the first significant price increase for hardwood in seven months.
