Coated recycled boxboard prices increased another 10/ton this month and are up a total of 30/ton since May because of reduced capacity,solid operating rates,and seasonal demand,contacts said last week.Cascades,Caraustar,Graphic Packaging,Michigan Paperboard,Rock-Tenn,Simkins,and Smurfit-Stone Container announced a 40/ton increases for shipments in early June.Transaction prices jumped 20/ton in June to 605-655/ton and reached 615-655/ton this month,according to Pulp & Paper Week.Extended lead times and less supply pushed prices 10/ton higher this month.
