International Paper chmn.and CEO John Faraci stated that the company plans to grow its paper and board capacity offshore in coming years rather than in the U.S.,where the company operates almost 11 million tpy and 75%-80% of its total paper capacity."If we grow our footprint (in packaging and uncoated freesheet),it would be outside North America," he said,after receiving the Global CEO of the Year from RISI and Pulp & Paper Week at RISI's 21st annual North American Forest Products conference in Boston.
