Longview indefinitely shuts containerboard PM 6,cites Northwest chip shortage

The Pacific Northwest woodchip shortage is causing Longview Fibre to temporarily halt production on its No.6 containerboard machine at its Longview,Wash.,mill.The No.6 machine,which has capacity for producing 164,000 tpy of liner-board and corrugating medium,shut down on Nov.27 for an "indefinite period," according to company spokesman Curt Copenhagen.
