Temporary plant shuts due to Hurricane Dennis

Paper mills and converting plants in Alabama,Florida,and Mississippi temporarily shut operations over the weekend of July 9 ahead of Hurricane Dennis' landfall.Dennis,the fifth hurricane to strike Florida in less than 11 months,hit the Florida Panhandle and Alabama coast on July 10 with less force than forecasters feared.Industry officials reported no major structural damage.Weyerhaueser's administration building at Pine Hill,Ala.,had some leaks due to roof damage from Dennis,but the con-tainerboard mill was untouched.The company said the plants that closed the weekend of July 9 were back up on Monday July 11.
