Characterisation of proteins and protein complexes by ion mobility-mass spectrometry

Novel approaches combining native eiectrospray ionization with ion mobility-mass spectrometry provide access to structural information for large and dynamic, even heterogeneous assemblies of biomolecules. In this short review we will investigate these methods and highlight some recent applications for proteins and protein complexes.
