摘要

Union members at Catalyst's Canadian mills vote tonight on a cost-saving labor deal that would green light the papermaker's restructuring plan and fast track its exit from Canada's Companies Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) bankruptcy process. Contacts say the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP) is urging its 700 members to ratify the agreement, but that opposition among members of the Pulp, Paper and Woodworkers of Canada (PPWC) Local 2 at the Crofton mill in British Columbia could derail it.
