Price erosion that began in China trickled down to North America in a cycle that increasingly looks like a mirror held to the summer of 2010. Benchmark northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) market pulp declined by $10-20/tonne to $1,020 after major producers slated a July 1 decrease, contacts told PPI Pulp & Paper Week. Southern bleached softwood kraft (SBSK) producers, which didn't officially announce July prices, conceded to lower prices as US buyers drove down the effective list to $980/ tonne, down $10-20/tonne from a revised $990-l,000/tonne.
