US corrugated box shipments continued to grow at a modest rate in April, while container-board inventories declined by more than their normal monthly average and exports production remained strong, according to industry statistics released this week. Meanwhile, US containerboard prices remained stable this month and analysts continued to speculate that producers may try for a price increase for late summer/early fall.
