The chemical industry: Providing solutions in the face of challenges

The entire European economy is facing challenging times ahead. We need to pull ourselves out of the recession, guarantee our global competitiveness and, in the longer term, reduce the carbon intensity of our economies. Indeed, a recent life cycle study of the chemical industry's products by the ICCA and McKinsey, which has been verified by a third party, clearly demonstrates that for each tonne of CO2 emitted by the Chemical Industry, the emission of two to three tonnes of CO2 are avoided later thanks to the application of our products.
