Los Angeles-based private equity firm The Gores Group completed the acquisition of major US envelope maker National Envelope. Its winning bid was about $200 million, consisting of nearly $150 million in cash, and an agreement to assume about $37.6 million in debt, and $20 million of assumed payables. Gores Group agreed to purchase substantially all of the bankrupt company's assets. The deal closed Tuesday.
