Signs that the North American corrugated box market may be bottoming out and even showing some signs of improvement were expressed by CEOs in the first two first quarter earnings conference calls by major containerboard producers held this week."April has started out much stronger for us with corrugated products bookings for the first 10 days up almost 15% over March, and about equal with April 2008," Paul Stecko, chmn and CEO of Packaging Corp. of America (PCA), told analysts.
