ISRI to vote on Apr. 4 on spec changes, effective date still being considered

A timeline is partly set for final voting on US recovered paper specification changes in 10 days, and industry leaders this week continued work on an official start date for the changes if they are approved. The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries' (ISRI) Paper Division group votes first in the morning on Apr. 4 at ISRI's annual meeting in Las Vegas. If not approved by the paper division, the spec changes go back to a Paper Stock Industries' (PSI) committee for further consideration. If approved, the specifications go before the ISRI board of directors for final approval in the early afternoon on Apr. 4. If the ISRI board votes against the new specs, the changes are sent back to the PSI committee.
