June US paper and board production declined 1.5% and totaled 6.575 million tons, vs June 2014's total. Paper production was down 3.9% in the month and paperboard production was flat. The top producing grades for the month were corrugating medium up 4.1%, unbleached kraft paper up 3.8%, uncoated freesheet paper up 3.1%, solid bleached sulfate (SBS) box-board up 2.6%, Hnerboard up 1.0%, and tissue up 0.7%. Year-to-date, the top producing grades in first half 2015 were Hnerboard up 2.1%, corrugating medium up 2.9%, tissue up 1.7%, and SBS board up 0.5%.
