Directory producers gird for 'tough negotiations' over 2014 contract prices

Directory paper manufacturers are midway through the process of negotiating contracts for 2014 and beyond with the two larg- est publishers of print directories in North America, the one-time RBOCs Dex Media and YP, contacts say. YP was formed by the May 2012 combination of AT&T Interactive and AT&T Advertising Solutions. Dex Media was created by the merger of Dex One — formerly R.H. Donnelley's directory publishing business — and SuperMedia — previously Verizon Communications1 yellow pages division spin-off Idearc — which was completed on April 30.
