During a time of rising global chemical market pulp producer inventories and declining softwood prices in US spot markets, industry contacts expect another decline in benchmark northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) prices in March. Resolute Forest Products (Resolute) informed North American customers late on Feb. 27 that its NBSK pulp list price would decrease to $980/ tonne, effective Mar. 1 until further notice, industry contacts told PPI Pulp & Paper Week.
