A US bleached paperboard price hike for July 1 announced by Georgia-Pacific (G-P) lacked any market support, according to industry contacts as of June 20. G-P told customers it would raise prices $50/ton on solid bleached sulfite (SBS) food service, cup and plate stock, and folding carton, but no other producer could be confirmed with a price move since the June 5 announcement.
