Biggest drop for OCC since May for US mills, falling $5 in four of six regions; OP also partially falls, others hold

Old corrugated container (OCC) pricing declined in its broadest fall since May, with levels down $5/ton in four of six US regions early this month, contacts told PPI Pulp & Paper Week. The $5 declines as of Nov. 5 vs levels on Oct. 7 put mill prices in the East at mostly $110-120/ton, FOB seller's dock, $20 below levels in the export-dominated San Francisco Bay and Los Angeles areas. OCC declined in the Midwest/Chicago, Southeast/Atlanta, Southwest/ Dallas-Houston, and Pacific Northwest regions, according to buyers and sellers.
