Mondi Group unites US, Mexico packaging

International packaging and paper giant Mondi Group has organized its North American operations supplying consumer packaging products, industrial bags and release liners under the name Mondi Americas, the company announced recently. "Mondi Americas brings deep technical knowledge as well as global supply chain efficiencies to Mondi's North American customer base," said Kevin Young, recently named pres of Mondi Americas. "Our North American customers that source and market globally now have a regional avenue to Mondi's full range of global resources." Local headquarters for the new organization is Pleasant Prairie, WI. Mondi entered the North American market in 2003 with the acquisition of its first industrial bag plant.
