Resolute slates July 17 to commence up to 90 days of UM, high-bright production on idled Fort Frances PM

Resolute Forest Products will restart the idled machine No. 7 uncoated mechanical (UM) paper machine at its Fort Frances softwood kraft pulp and paper mill in Ontario next week, and run it for up to three months. Over a 90-day period, the No. 7 machine could produce close to 30,000 tonnes of standard uncoated mechanical and high-brights in the 65-bright to 80-bright range, PPI Pulp & Paper Week estimates.
