US newsprint producer SP Newsprint - a non-debtor subsidiary of bankrupt White Birch Paper - is in default of its $275 million credit facility, Debtwire.com reported yesterday. The Financial Times-owned website reported that SP, whose Dublin, GA, and Newberg, OR, mills have combined production capacity of 800,000 tonnes/yr, missed an interest payment and fell out of compliance with its loan agreement.
