CUK price hike rolls out in June; cupstock,bristols levels rising

With market contacts reporting stronger activity and steady backlogs, prices moved up this month for coated unbleached kraft (CUK) paperboard as a $40/ton increase rolled out beginning in early June.It is the first increase for the grade since August 2008 and the first change in prices since June 2009, and lifts levels $30/ton so far this month to $855-915/ton, up 3.5% from a year ago.
