China 'gulps' on OCC; export prices rise $5-7

Prices jumped $5-7 in the last week on US exported old corrugated containers (OCC) to China, as Chinese mills with strong packaging demand moved to grow raw material inventory, contacts said. The delivered pricing to a main port in China was $245-250/tonne today. The peak to China was $290 in mid-March.
