Reduced newsprint generation continued driving what has become a nearly 10-month, more than 100/tonne run-up on US exported special news old newspapers (ONP) No. 8 to China and Asia. ONP No. 8 jumped 15-20/ton at the FOB seller's dock level in the New York/New Jersey and San Francisco-Los Angeles areas as of Thursday, from their levels on May 8.
