MeadWestvaco,IP,G-P to hike SBS cup stock by S40/ton later this month

Strong demand in front of the anticipated busy summer season and higher chemical costs prompted three major North American producers of solid bleached sulfate (SBS) food service cup stock grades - MeadWestvaco,International Paper (IP),and Georgia-Pacific (G-P) - to propose 40/ton price increases,regardless of coating,effective with shipments between June 15 and 25.The increases are on all cup stock grades (poly one-sided,poly two-sided,and uncoated).
