Buyers show no interest in Abitibi's Stephenville mill

Newfoundland Natural Resources Minister Kathy Dunderdale last week said there was no interest shown from buyers for Abitibi-Consolidated's 494,000 mtpy newsprint mill in Stephenville,Nfld.,which was shut at the end of last year.More than 20 companies were contacted by government officials and none as of last week showed interest,the government said.
