Producers optimistic about prospects for 40/ton hike during the third quarter

Contacts with supercalendered paper producers in North America said they believed an April 40/ton increase on SC papers could be implemented in the second half this year,both on contract and non-contract tons.The spring increase had not previously affected the contract tons that are annual contracts subject to six-month price review.Nor has there been any across-the-board increase on spot SC tons.
