Bio-Pappel set on 15% hike on board, boxes to offset 26% peso value drop

Mexican producers will hike prices by up to 15% on containerboard and corrugated packaging starting in September to offset the "high cost impact" of the 26% decline of the Mexican peso against the US dollar over the past year. Bio-Pappel, Mexico's largest paper producer, is announcing a 15% price increase on all of its product lines, including containerboard and corrugated packaging. Another Mexican producer told PPI Latin America that it was planning to implement an 8%-10% price increase.
