OCC non-domestic rule dropped from committee changes on specifications

A proposed change to the US specification for old corrugated containers (OCC) was recently eliminated. The change in October by a Paper Stock Industries (PSI) committee that called for defining No. 11 OCC under the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries specifications as requiring no more than 30% non-domestic OCC. Now, there is no identified limit on the amount of non-domestic OCC in No. 11 bales, according to the ISRI specification.
