Commodity uncoated freesheet (UFS) paper prices were holding after timid January demand and what appeared so far as improved volume for this month, according to contacts this week. January US shipments were 2.7% less than in December. The December total was also 2% less than the 2015 daily average, according to American Forest & Paper Association statistics.
