Asia Pulp & Paper's North American strategic partner and distributor Global Paper Solutions (GPS) said it will provide paper procurement buyers with a coated two side (C2S) commercial print multi-layered papejboard offering called Omnistar. The multi-layered technology utilizes less pulp to create a higher basis weight and creating a lighter sheet, providing a 10-15% yield advantage, GPS said. "As US mills scale back production of C2S products, increasing availability of Omnistar fills a resurging market demand as we now have real-time delivery of this product across the country," said Paresh Patil, Director of Operations.
