China's US OCC share down to 25% with US mill consumption up 6.1%

China's share of US old corrugated container demand dropped to about 25% this year through September, a broad decline compared with last year. In 2012, China's share of US OCC demand reached a high of 28%. However, in 2013, US exports of recovered paper to China are down 4% year-to-date, and also US mill consumption of OCC was up 6.1% through September, vs consumption in 2012 through September. The two caused China's share to decline to 25%.
