China's recovered paper imports dropped significantly in February - by 6.5% vs January imports - as the government in China increased inspections of recovered paper imports. February imports declined 18% vs January's total and also by 18% vs February 2012's total, according to figures from China customs. China customs reported February imports of 2.06 million tonnes, from 2.5 million in January. Year-to-date, imports by China of recovered paper totaled 4.58 million tonnes and were up 6.5%.
