DuPont is considering selling its performance chemicals business, which competes against firms such as Clariant and Huntsman, The Wall Street Journal reported this week. The performance chemicals unit's second quarter earnings totaled $264 million and were reduced by an 80% increase in natural gas wellhead pricing in second quarter 2013 vs second quarter 2012.
