Germany's Papierfabrik Golzern will not restart production after it was hit hard by the devastating floods that plagued parts of Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic in June. The firm, located in Grimma, Saxony, was hit by the flooding of the Mulde river, which inundated the whole site and, according to first estimates, caused damage of at least Euro 10 million ($12.8 million). While the firm initially said that it planned to restart production as soon as possible after it started the clean-up operations at the site, it has nowdecided to give up the facility.
