A TALE OF TWO COMPOUNDS

Sulfur compounds are the major contaminants responsible for odors emanating from the waste water treatment (WWT) system of Cascades Kingsey Falls, QC. These components originate mostly from the vents associated to WWT equipment such as the cooling tower, belt filter hood, flotation cell hood and sludge chest vent. In Quebec, there is no explicit regulation in force, but a case-by-case approach is given for each facility.
