What is the future of BMC pulp production in China?

THE PAST 10 YEARS have seen many surprises coming out of China, not the least of which has been a rapid rise in wood pulp production. By 2015, there will be five major BHK lines operating in China, and the country will have more than 7 million tonnes of BHK capacity. One of the key objectives of our recently released study, The China Pulp Market: A Comprehensive Analysis and Outlook, was to look at what has happened on the ground in China in recent years and change, if necessary, our views on where pulp production and demand in China are headed over the next 10 years.
