Sappi, the world's largest dissolving pulp (DP) producer, is expected to announce a capacity expansion within the next six months that will further its position as the grade's top producer, according to a company official and news report. Sappi, with a listed 802,000 tonnes/yr of DP capacity at its Saiccor mill in South Africa, wants to expand its position soon, according to Sappi CEO Ralph Boettger.
