IP MAY SHUT SCOTTISH UNCOATED FINE PAPER MILL

International Paper(IP)is set to begin consultations with employees at its Inverurie mill in Scotland,the UK,regarding the plant's future.The facility produces some 250,000 tonnes/yr of uncoated wood-free paper on two machines and employs 371 people.A spokesman emphasized that the talks will last at least three months and that the purpose is to examine all the strategic alternatives for the mill.
