UPM LAYS POWER PLANT CORNERSTONE AT KAUKAS

UPM is forging ahead with the construction of a new biofuel power plant at its Kaukas mill in Lappeenranta, eastern Finland. The laying of the cornerstone took place in March. The project is slightly ahead of schedule. Construction work started in July and the new plant is scheduled to come online in spring 2010.
