AS A NEW YEAR gets under way,it's always interesting to have a look ahead and see what's in store for some of the major players in the sector.In this case,we have scoured the industry looking for five companies that could conceivably help us highlight some of the major trends taking place across the industry.Of course,there is no way we can be entirely comprehensive about all the shifts we are seeing in the sector without revisiting the entire PPI Top 100.But by looking at the events taking place among a few of the notable examples of the industry,it is certainly possible to pick out some of the major elements that will help determine the future direction of the pulp and paper sector in the years ahead.
