INDIA'S STRONG,SUSTAINED economic growth over the past decade in combination with its huge population has raised the obvious question of whether India is poised to follow in the footsteps of China and become a major player in global forest products markets.Between now and 2016,the growth in India's consumption of both wood and paper products will be quite strong,but India is unlikely to approach China's current levels of demand in any particular product category.
