Boise Cascade cancels IPO

Boise Cascade announced May 18 that it would be shelving its previously announced plans to go public on the New York Stock Exchange,citing adverse market conditions.The company and its equity sponsor,Madison Dearborn Partners(MDP),had intended to raise 400 million by selling 16 million shares in an initial public offering(IPO),but failed to attract hoped-for levels of investor interest.
