Cenibra wins green gold championships

CENIBRA has come out top of the annual Green Gold Championships (GGC) company performance benchmarking poll.The survey,compiled by FT-Engineering/Dernecon rates forest products companies according to a range of criteria:profitability,financing,annual growth and shareholder satisfaction.The latest GGC poll (for 2003) expanded the number of companies benchmarked from 125 to 144.Four Brazilian companies were among the 10 best performing forest products companies in the latest survey.Winner Cenibra was closely followed by Klabin in second spot.In the 2002 poll,the two companies were ranked only 23rd and 96th respectively.Suzano and Bahia Sul (now merged as Suzano Bahia Sul) also performed well and positioned 6th and 7th,respectively.
