Rottneros has started commercial production on a new chemi-thermomechanical pulp(CTMP)plant at its Utansjo Bruk mill in Sweden.The 100,000 tonne/yr unit was supplied by Metso Paper and will manufacture mainly bleached pulp using spruce and aspen as furnish.As part of the project,Rottneros also reused some equipment from a 73,000 tonne/yr magnesium sulfite pulp line at the site,which was shut down in January.
